1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, continuing with Google or Facebook, accessing TripMates Club, or using any feature that requires acceptance of these Terms, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Mandatory rights granted to you by applicable law are not excluded by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. By using TripMates, you represent that you meet these requirements.
If you use TripMates on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for it and to provide the business information you submit.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current.
- Keep your password, device and login methods secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by TripMates' own breach or unlawful conduct.
- Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation or create accounts to evade enforcement.
- You may use Google or Facebook sign-in. Social login does not transfer ownership of your TripMates account to the provider.
- We may require email verification, security checks or additional information when reasonably necessary to protect the platform.
4. Community conduct
TripMates is intended to help travellers connect and exchange useful travel information. You must not use the service to:
- Post or promote illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, hateful or exploitative material.
- Publish intimate, private or personal information about another person without lawful authority or appropriate consent.
- Upload malware, executable payloads, malicious links or content designed to compromise accounts or systems.
- Spam, mass-message, scrape, harvest contact details, manipulate engagement or operate unauthorized bots/automation.
- Use another person's identity, copyrighted work, trademark or confidential information without permission.
- Misrepresent a travel service, package, price, review, company affiliation, availability or material fact.
- Attempt to bypass privacy settings, blocks, access controls, rate limits, moderation or security protections.
You should use good judgment when meeting people discovered through TripMates. TripMates does not perform background checks on every user and cannot guarantee another user's identity, conduct or travel plans.
5. Your content and licence to TripMates
You retain ownership of content you create and upload, subject to rights belonging to others. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions required to publish it.
To operate the service, you grant TripMates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, adapt for technical delivery, distribute and make your content available through TripMates, consistent with the visibility and product features you choose. This licence is limited to operating, securing, improving and promoting the TripMates service.
When you delete content, we will stop displaying it through the ordinary service where reasonably possible, subject to backups, legal retention, moderation evidence, technical caches and copies already shared or saved by others.
6. AI-assisted features
TripMates may offer optional AI Assist features for captions, travel-post writing or related assistance. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content before publishing it and for ensuring it does not violate law, third-party rights or these Terms.
Do not rely on AI-generated content for safety-critical, immigration, visa, medical, legal or financial decisions without checking authoritative sources.
7. Company Pages and travel packages
Approved Company Pages may publish travel packages and business information. Company approval is a platform moderation status and is not a warranty, certification or endorsement of the business, its licences, financial condition, service quality or package availability.
- Company owners are responsible for the accuracy and legality of business details, prices, itineraries, images, inclusions, exclusions, taxes, availability and statements they publish.
- Package prices may be described as starting prices and may change based on dates, inventory, taxes, currency, traveller requirements or supplier availability.
- TripMates may review, reject, suspend, unpublish or remove Company Pages/packages that breach our rules or create safety, fraud or legal concerns.
8. Enquiries, bookings and off-platform transactions
TripMates currently provides discovery and enquiry tools. Unless a page expressly states otherwise, TripMates is not the travel supplier, tour operator, hotel, airline, insurer, visa consultant or contracting party for a package offered by an independent Company Page.
When you submit an enquiry, your submitted contact information and requirement are sent to the relevant Company Page owner so they can respond. Any quote, booking, payment, cancellation, refund, visa service or travel contract you enter into with that company is between you and the company, subject to the terms you agree with them.
Before paying or travelling, verify the provider, final price, inclusions, cancellation/refund terms, required licences where relevant, passports/visas, insurance and safety information.
9. Reviews and ratings
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences or opinions and must not be purchased, fabricated, retaliatory, defamatory or used to manipulate ratings. A reviewer must not impersonate another customer or conceal a material conflict of interest.
TripMates may hide or remove reviews that violate these Terms or applicable law. We do not guarantee that every review is accurate, and opinions expressed by users are their own.
10. Reporting, moderation and enforcement
TripMates provides reporting and moderation tools for posts, comments, profiles, blogs, companies, communities, packages and reviews. We may investigate reported or detected activity and take proportionate action, including reducing visibility, rejecting content, removing content, freezing/suspending pages, restricting features, blocking accounts or preserving information where required by law.
Moderation decisions may consider context, safety, repeated violations, legal requirements and the integrity of the platform. Where required by applicable law, grievance and appeal mechanisms will be made available.
11. Third-party services and links
TripMates integrates or links to services operated by others, including Google, Facebook/Meta, YouTube, AI services, maps and websites linked by users or companies. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. TripMates is not responsible for third-party sites or services merely because a link or integration is available through our platform.
12. TripMates intellectual property
The TripMates Club name, logo, product interface, original software, designs and platform materials (excluding user/company content and third-party materials) are owned by or licensed to TripMates and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reverse engineer, sell or commercially exploit them except as permitted by law or with written authorization.
13. Service disclaimers
TripMates is provided on an "as available" basis. We work to maintain a useful and secure service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that every user/company is genuine, that user-generated information is accurate, or that a particular trip, connection, package, price or travel outcome will meet your expectations.
Travel involves inherent risks. Destination conditions, laws, weather, transport, health requirements, visa rules and safety circumstances can change. Use official and professional sources where appropriate.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TripMates and its operators, personnel and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or losses arising from off-platform transactions, third-party travel services or user conduct.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Suspension, deactivation and termination
You may stop using TripMates at any time. TripMates may suspend, restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, repeated Terms violations, legal compliance or protection of users/platform integrity.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination — including intellectual-property rights, lawful retention, disclaimers, liability limits and dispute provisions — remain effective.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or privacy rights that may apply to you. Courts and authorities having competent jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes that cannot be resolved informally.
Before starting formal proceedings, you are encouraged to contact legal@tripmatesclub.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect new features, security needs, business changes or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate manner. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; where fresh consent is legally required, we will request it.
18. Contact and grievances
For complaints about specific content, include the URL or content/profile identifier, a description of the issue and any supporting information. We will process grievances in accordance with applicable law and platform procedures.
